Content Description Vernon Winslow was an art professor at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a disc jockey at WJMR, WYLD, WMRY, WWEZ and WJBW. He is credited as being New Orleans' first African American disc jockey and served as a spokesman for Jax Beer under the moniker "Dr. Daddy-O." This collection consists of a variety of sound recordings in various formats. There are 68 reels of ¼” audio tapes of varying lengths.
